Jr. High Girls Basketball practice has been cancelled for the week. It will resume Wednesday 1/26 at the regular time. High School Girls Basketball practice has been cancelled tonight as well as the game tomorrow night vs. North Douglas. We have seen some changes in Saturday's High School Basketball Game schedules at Yoncalla. The girls game has been postponed to 2/10 and the Boys game will be played on Saturday at 6:00 PM.
Due to a lack of players, this week's Jr. High Girls Basketball games have been canceled. They will have a meeting today in Mr. Klaessy's room at 2 pm and will return to practice on Thursday and Friday at normal times.

Tomorrow's JV game against Illinois Valley has been canceled. Varsity Girls will start at 6:00 PM with Boys Varsity following. Illinois Valley is limiting fans in the stands to two visiting fans per player. We must provide a guest list to them at the beginning of the night. Please call into our office starting tomorrow morning at 8 am and have your name put on the list by 2:00 PM. More instructions to follow.

I have posted the Wixson, Josh Bidwell Athletic, and Josh Bidwell General Scholarships on Naviance today. All three scholarships are for students in Douglas County. The only requirements for the Wixson are that you attend school in South Douglas County, complete the entire application, and you must sign it. Get started on these scholarships as soon as possible.

Due to circumstances, we have decided that it would be best to cancel high school boys basketball practice tonight. Tomorrow JV Practice will be at 3:15 at the elementary school and varsity will be in the HS gym from 3:00-3:30 and watching film in Mr. Hobson's room between 3:30 and 5:00 PM.
On Tuesday, January 11th we are having a senior night. It will start right after 5th period and will run until 5:00 PM. The basketball games do not start until 6:00 PM and they are at home. We have less than five months left to work on scholarships, applications, and planning for career training.
The first semester ends on January 21st. Make sure you are getting your grades up as much as possible by the end of the semester. Semester seven grades are the most important grades for seniors. These are the grades that colleges, scholarship committees, and government programs like Oregon Promise use to make decisions about students.
